The roots of CrossFit trace back several decades beginning with Greg Glassman at his gym in Santa Cruz, California. Over the years he developed a fitness program to train athletes for the unknown and the unknowable. Many of his initial clients as well as a large portion of those who CrossFit today consist of law enforcement, military, paramedical, and fire personnel seeking to prepare themselves for the physical demands of their job.

To get you acquainted with Route 1's program, we've implemented a PREP COURSE that you MUST COMPLETE at the start of your first month.
Our prep course series is designed to get you equipped with all the skills and techniques that are fundamental to the CrossFit program and to RTE1's classes.
You'll learn all about power lifting, olympic lifting, kettlebells, kipping, gym safety, and much more.
The prep course ensures that you'll have a strong grasp and understanding of our program and it will have you ready to jump right into classes.
