Phoenix MMA and Fitness is a locally owned, family business. Here we strive to create an environment that is fun and challenging to first timers and experienced competitors alike. Owner and head instructor, Cory Robison, spent his youth training and traveling the world competing in combat sport competitions at the highest level.
His efforts saw him all the way to Scotland, winning a WKA kickboxing world championship for Team USA, Brazil where he lived and trained with Black Belt World Champion Robert Drysdale, and to an IBJJF World Championship of his own. After his career as a professional MMA fighter he next looked to fulfill his dream of opening his own gym and sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of competitors.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that is the culmination of techniques that originated from kodokan judo in Japan, were later innovated in Brazil and is now practiced all over the world.
It has a particular emphasis on ground fighting, positioning and submissions, but also includes wrestling and judo takedowns.
No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is more akin to submission wrestling, wherein the goal is much the same as traditional Gi Jiu-Jitsu, out position or submit your opponent, however you do not wear a Gi or have the belt rank system.

The Cardio Kick boxing class is designed to be an intense workout that is fun and informative to beginners and veterans alike.
In this class you work at your own pace through a 40 minute non-stop work out that will begin with an instructor warming you up, then putting you through 5 rounds of boxing combined with calisthenics, and cooling you down at the end.
In this class you will learn and reinforce boxing and kick boxing fundamentals and burn lots of calories, all while having a great time.
