Our private fitness and workout facility is nestled in Willow Glen and offers in-person training as well as online training and nutrition coaching options. I am Matt Rando, owner of Willow Glen Workout Garage. I started WGWG because I wanted to create a place where people could come to accomplish their health and fitness goals. I wanted to create a platform both online and in-person where I can give people honest feedback in order to get people the results they want.

Growing up I tried every nutrition and fitness regimen in search of the "perfect body." I did everything from going to the gym, two times a day, to obsessively tracking food, over-consuming crappy protein supplements, to the point where I was peeing blood for a year and it hurt to go to the bathroom! The list goes on and on. I'm grateful for my past experiences because I know there is others out there that can relate.

I'm sure there has been a time when you stumbled upon an online article or magazine promoting the latest fad diet, superfood, or workout program promising to bring you great success only to eventually lead to another failed attempt at achieving your goals.

It ignited a desire to start a business in the place I grew up in as kid.
Matt really cares about his clients.
I love seeing how my body is changing and the compliments I have received from those around me.
Without Matt's help I would still be a big fat girl walking on a treadmill in the corner of the gym.

We prioritize resistance training here at The Yard and we recognize it as one of the most beneficial forms of exercise you can do to build bone mass and maintain it into your later years.
In this class, you will perform movements that require you to squat, hinge, push, and pull.
1-on-1 Personal Training is for individuals who are looking to train privately in person at the Willow Glen Workout Garage facility.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, a personal trainer can keep you accountable for achieving your unique goals by instilling the best program designed for you.
You will receive the individual attention you need to achieve your goals via accountability, guidance, support, & proper planning along with insuring you doing the movements properly.
You will build confidence through training and be able to take the principles of fitness and movement, and apply them to your everyday life and workouts for a lifetime.
The best analogy I have for you in regards to working with a nutrition coach, is to imagine yourself needing help to find directions to a destination.
Nutrition coaches are comparable to a GPS, in that they guide you on how to get to your chosen destination.
But what does a GPS need in order to get you to your destination.? Correct!
They need your current location.
Coaches also need to know where you're currently at in your life, since every person is unique and requires a different set of directions.
