GOAT Fitness in Irvine, CA is a Private Personal Training Facility specializing in custom training programs designed specifically for your unique goals. Everyone can benefit from a trainer. The top athletes in the world still use trainers to have an outside eye and to keep them progressing. Most people don't push themselves past their comfort zones, trainers can do that while staying within your limits.

I love this gym! Been coming here for a while and the community is great! Always encouraging and helping me out with my form and happy to answer any questions I have.

To us, the goat has always been a symbol of strength, athleticism, and the stubbornness needed to reach one's goals.
When we picture a majestic goat scaling a mountain with explosive power and determination, it inspires us to reach the top of our mountain, real or metaphoric.
GOAT is also an acronym standing for "Greatest Of All Time."
Every Coach at GOAT Fitness has a passion for training people.
With different backgrounds and specialties, we have no doubt that one of our Coaches will be the right fit to help you reach your specific goals.
Jonathan (Sheppy) Sheppard has been helping people reach their fitness goals for over 10 years.
Jon began his career as a commercial diver/underwater welder and moved from there to Hyperbaric Medicine which has recently emerged as a highly regarded training aid in the sports and performance industry.
Exercise is physical Activity for it's own sake, a workout for the effect it produces today.
Non-specific and short-term goals of moving around, burning calories, and getting sweaty, are the main focus for that specific workout.
Regular exercise has minimal stress adaptation to produce tangible changes in strength, muscle building, or increased performance, but exercise is great for general health and wellness.
Exercise is definitely better than sitting on your butt all day.
Training is physical activity with a long-term goal in mind.
We hear many people use the phrase "Weight Loss" when talking about getting in shape and starting a diet and exercise program, but in actuality, the phrase they should be using is "Fat Loss."
The reason most people fail at losing weight and keeping it off is due to the way they are dieting and training.
Too much cardio, wrong macronutrient ratios, and lack of correct resistance training techniques leave these people weighing less on the scale but with the same body fat percentage.
This is what we in the industry call "Skinny Fat" nobody wants to be Skinny Fat.
To us, Strength & Conditioning means building muscle and losing fat at the same time.
Don't be fooled, this is hard to do.
When taking on a goal of this kind one must have their training and definitely their nutrition in check.
If done wrong then it is easy to lose a lot of muscle due to a calorie deficit and extreme physical output.
Knowing how to balance weight training and conditioning is key.
Our Strength & Conditioning Program focuses on compound movements to maximize strength and muscle, high-intensity interval training to keep the lungs pumping and the fat melting, and finding accurate maintenance calories and macronutrients to promote muscle building and fat loss at the same time.
