Move ME Pilates Studio is a boutique Pilates and Barre studio in Portland, Maine. We are located in North Deering on Washington Ave between Canco Rd and Ocean Ave in a bright and light filled studio. Move ME offers Pilates and Barre classes and private lessons. My Pilates training began as a dancer in in Boston and I received my very first Pilates certification in 1999 in New York.
Soon after I went on to spend 11 years in Southern California immersed in a very progressive and innovative health and wellness community. While living on the West Coast, I really immersed myself into Pilates and dance and received amazing opportunities in my career such as becoming a teacher trainer for Balanced Body Pilates, working alongside Julian Littleford and running his teacher training program, and become an instructor on the most popular Pilates online classes Pilates Anytime.
Before starting Move ME I owned The Pilates Barre in Massachusetts and at the same time worked at the biggest Balanced Body training center, Boston Body.

What makes MoveME Pilates equipment classes unique are the small class sizes and variety of equipment work that are often reserved for private lessons.
It is required that you have a minimum of 2 private lessons before taking an EquipMEnt class.
The class has its roots in the classical work and flow but also uses props and variations.
The moveMEnts are layered in a way so there is a sense of ease in transition that can add challenge or be modified as needed all while you are getting a full body, functional workout.

Our Barre course has its roots in the original Lotte Burke method and updates it with the Pilates movement principals to create a high energy, safe and fun workout for all fitness levels and ages.
