Step 1: Sign Up for a No Sweat Intro to meet with a coach 1:1 to talk about your goals and how to get there. This is our 1-1 program to build proper mechanics, familiarity with our program, and build on past successes. After graduating from college we bought a house in the Salisbury, MD area which had a two car garage. In 2010 we started doing CrossFit out of said garage with Berek's brothers and our friends.

Equity Fitness opened on Labor day of 2012 in a small warehouse with the bare essentials and concert floors. In 2014 we moved to a new space which is 5 times the size of our original space. Since moving we have continued to grow and improve everyday. The biggest change since starting the gym came in May of 2018 when we welcomed our daughter Eleanor Louise.

We are a local and family owned business with the goal to help people improve their health, fitness, and quality of life while treating them like they have always been part of the tribe. After first starting CrossFit in our garage, and then slowly joining a gym, the progress I was able to see with learning new movements and slowly getting stronger gave me the motivation to continue learning and grasping for more.
I have been doing CrossFit for over 5 years now, and I can still see changes and growth.
There are always new things to learn and to get better at every day; not just physical but mental challenges as well.
Gymnastics and Olympic Lifting are my favorite things to do that require skill and technique which can always be improved.

It's a 15-minute conversation with one of our caring coaches to discuss your goals and how we can help you achieve them.
When I first started at Equity, I still had a slight limp when I walked and walking up stairs was still something I had to think about (after 2 hip replacements).
Now, a year later, the limp is completely gone and taking the stairs isn't something I have to think about.
Moving through my day is so much easier since joining!
Q: Do I need to be in good shape before I start CrossFit?

Everybody starts at different levels in their athletic and fitness journey.
All workouts are designed with modifications in mind for all fitness levels.
