Maury is a Certified Massage Therapist and staff instructor at the San Francisco School of Massage. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Washington University. Post-college she served as an Army officer, training, among other duties, injured and rehabilitating soldiers, helping them return to duty. After completing her service, Maury worked in robotic medical devices where she honed her understanding of the mechanics of the human body.

Since 2009, Maury has been supporting the athletic community of the Bay Area as a sports massage therapist, running, and soccer coach. In 2014, as many of her female clients began starting families, she obtained her certificate in perinatal massage to support them. She now has a thriving private practice working with a range of clients from paralympians and marathoners to weekend warriors and bike commuters.

As an athlete herself, Maury has a strong understanding of the joys and frustrations associated with competitive sports. She grew up very active as a competitive swimmer, soccer player, lacrosse player, and middle-distance track runner.
Services
I understand that busy lives lead to body discomfort and often people skip body care because it does not fit into the life schedule.
If you are not finding a date or time that works for you, please contact me at contact@maurysmassage.com or text me at 415-735-1276 with your desired date and time and I will see if I can accommodate you.
I work in two locations; a serene studio in Bernal Heights and at the Avid Sports Medicine Clinic in SOMA.
During the Pandemic I will only be working from the SOMA location.
We are a 10 min walk from the Montgomery St Bart Station.
If you drive, we recommend that you park on Sillman Street where there is one hour free parking.
We also offer bike parking in our clinic.
Almost every client I see complains of neck pain.
Of course there are tons of causes but one you might not suspect is using your cell phone.
Focus on: Low Back Pain Many of you have complained of low back pain at some point in your life; it hurts to bend over or roll over in bed.
When you fly, take a train or drive for long periods of time, your body is forced into an unnatural position.
So what is the ideal body position?
