There is a "fitness paradox" in America today.
We know more about health and fitness than ever before, but at the same time, we have the biggest obesity problem we've ever had.
Could it be that we're doing something wrong?
At Motivate Fitness, we believe that is exactly the problem.
Well-intentioned and hard-working people go to the gym and pound out miles on a treadmill, or strain to lift barbells, all in the name of "getting in shape."
Quite frankly, most of these people are working too hard on the wrong things and they aren't making the progress they should be making.
Obviously swing lessons with your Pro are extremely important but in some cases swing faults are due to poor mobility and strength.
If your lessons seem to be redundant in that you work on the same things over and over again, it may be time to address your physical limitations.
One area I've found to be crucial is the ability to hinge at your hips and deep squat.
According to the Titleist Performance Institute 65% of amateurs have some type of loss of posture during their golf swing.
The reason this happens is due to the inability to properly hip hinge and deep squat which is caused by the above mentioned limitations.
It has been proven that exercising in small groups produces better results due to the fact that most will push themselves harder because of the motivation from others in the group.
There is also the social aspect which creates a bonding environment that can help produce more endorphins and keeps the clients more accountable for showing up for their sessions.
From classes to one on one sessions;Develop breathing techniques, gentle yoga stretches, and restorative poses, which releases tension and fatigue stored in the muscles and restore balance and energy to the body.
We believe, that each individual possesses their own unique movement capabilities and limitations; injury history, medical history, strengths, weaknesses and everything in between.
This is what makes you great and beautiful.
However, it is these attributes that make the one size fits all, non-individualized approaches completely ineffective.
