Fitness Industry Suppliers Association
The Fitness Industry Suppliers Association of North America is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. We provide market intelligence and unique events that enable our members to better understand the commercial sector and meet the needs of commercial facilities and their customers. FISA N.A. was founded in 2000 when a small group of manufacturers agreed to work together to improve business relationships with their customers and each other.

Suppliers of all sizes participate. They include manufacturers of traditional exercise and functional training equipment, software products, EFT service companies, providers of capital equipment, support services such as marketing, personal training software, testing services and exercise programming. All are welcome to work cooperatively to grow our business.
Services
As I write this, we appear to be coming out of those trying times for our business and for the country.
Emotions are running high.
Relief, elation, optimism, sadness, residual fears and still, real rage.
Engulfed by climate, economic and otherwise, our business is resetting in ways we never imagined.
We have thrived during and in the aftermath of difficult economic circumstances in the past.
The years 2008-2010 come to mind.
Through resolve and readjustment, we're going to do it again.
As hard as we can be on ourselves, let's not forget that our customers want us, need us and they look to us for guidance, market intelligence and support at the ground level.
FISA events are appointment-based.
VIP guests participate based on a 'by-invitation-only' approach.
This is the best opportunity for suppliers, customers and prospects to share information in a relaxed, first-class business environment, based on pre-set one on one appointments.
Without distractions, suppliers have opportunities to provide more detailed and updated information about new products and services or introduce themselves to potential customers.
VIP guests have opportunities to get more clarification about how their current and new suppliers can better meet their needs.
This remains a fluid situation for owners and operators, suppliers and fitness enthusiasts, no matter their choice of facility, or mixture of living room and garage-based workouts.
Speculation is rampant.
How many clubs and what type of clubs will survive and what will they look like when they do?
There will be holes in the market to fill.
Where?
Who will fill them?
How?
Will the consumer migration to the home setting increase, level off or recede to past levels?
What impact will technology have on sanitation, club usage, marketing, sales and service delivery?
At some point in the near future, we will look back at this as a period of great consolidation.
It's causing a massive migration toward 'sameness' and rapid commoditization.
For these reasons, differentiation is an imperative to increasing the value of your business.
Membership and increasing ancillary revenue streams such as personal training are obvious components of this path.
However, operational culture and maximizing human capital are equally important.
Why is differentiation so critical in the 'new fitness' economy?
The dynamics of the fitness business are changing rapidly.
And the past few years have brought more uncertainty than ever before.
What more reason could a supplier, a club owner or executive need to gather first-hand information.
It's not enough to know something about all of your customers.
Now you need to know everything about EACH of your customers.
Our "by invitation, " VIP events allow you to do just that, without distractions, without time wasters, on your own terms, in a world-class setting.
