InsideOut Gym
A gym that's been around for 20 years? Founded in 1996, InsideOut was the first gym in Memphis to recognize and implement fitness for the Body, Mind, and Spirit. Today, InsideOut is still owned and managed by one of its original founders, plus another partner, who officially joined the partnership in 2014. In these uncertain economic times, the era of the old fashioned small businesses that catered to its customer is rare.

Call us old school, but we built InsideOut on the foundation of customer service, and maybe that's why we are still around. InsideOut started the Yoga, Pilates, Dance & Spinning trends at local health clubs and were recognized in Self Magazine's Fitness issue as one of the top gyms in the country. Since then, every other gym and health club in town has followed our lead.

So, we try to continue challenging everyone else by adding new workouts, classes, and equipment as often as possible. In 2007, we expanded our facility another 2,500 square feet, added our boxing program back to the fitness lineup, started the WaterRowing program and increased our ever-growing class list.

We are a community gym and we know our members' names and beyond.
Some of our members are here everyday, some even twice a day.
If you have worked out in a gym environment before, you know that most gyms are not exactly friendly places to hang out.
InsideOut is different, you will realize our unique approach when you walk through the door.
We don't care if you are out of shape, in shape, carnivore, vegetarian, or vegan.
Our gym began with simple ideas - hire the best staff, offer the best classes, make your members feel comfortable, challenge their fitness everyday, and keep it clean.
InsideOut's environment is relaxed, non-threatening, and certainly not the typical gym environment.
It doesn't matter if you're a fitness expert or someone who has never worked out before - we've got classes tailored to your fitness level.
Plus, one of our greatest strengths is our method of scheduling.
We easily reduce the number of members working out in the cardio and weights area of the main floor by scheduling at least 3 classes ie.
Lisa is Co-Owner of InsideOut and the Director of our personal training program.
She has 15 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and has specialty training in fitness for Seniors, Special Populations including weight loss, and rehab, plus goal-specific training.
National certifications include: AFAA Personal Trainer, AFAA Primary Fitness, SPINNING, ROWING, Senior Fitness, Special Populations.
One of the greatest moments in life is realizing that two weeks ago your body couldn't do what it just did.
And, for a fun twist, Marda changes the Monday Box Aerobics class to Bosu Ball Aerobics the first Monday of every month.
Imagine getting your heart rate up and doing all sorts of exercises then throw in the Bosu Ball as your primary piece of equipment.
That little half ball will rip you up if you're not careful.
Plus, it's a welcomed change once a month.
This is a whole lot of fitness packed into a short period of time, and you won't know from week to week what the next session will include.
Just know this - your cardio vascular system will stand up and take notice, plus the class may change often and that's what makes it work.
This is a Marda signature class.
Lighter weights plus high reps mean muscular endurance and toning.
That's what you'll get with Floor Work w/ Weights.
You'll use 3-5 lb weights, but don't let that fool you.
The higher reps will cause a deeper burn that will likely have your muscles screaming for mercy.
