An innovative approach to improving physical function while addressing and preventing injury. The facility was started by Travis McKay, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (DPT, OCS), who saw a need for a fitness program that everyone can access. After working for 17 years as a physical therapist and spending the past 10 years researching fitness and wellness programs, Travis has developed specialized and user-friendly small group training sessions.
Individual training sessions and small group classes (6 people maximum) have been designed to improve physical function, filling in the missing gap between physical therapy services and traditional fitness programs. Masks are optional for workout sessions and we continue to provide air purification. Our workout stations are designed 7 feet apart and equipment is provided that will be needed for class (no sharing equipment).
Between each class there will be a break where equipment and space is disinfected. We had the opportunity to build TherEx Station from the ground up due to a recent building remodel at Anza Square.

Services
TherEx Station (TherEx = Therapeutic Exercise) is a facility designed to improve functional capacities of both small groups and also individual clients.
Individual clients are able to sign up for an initial session with a Physical Therapist who will thoroughly assess all injuries, listen to areas of concern and establish physical fitness goals.
By having private training sessions with a physical therapist, you have the opportunity to try the latest innovations whether it be new manual techniques or innovative exercise protocols like Blood Flow Restriction training.
