Maria Finnegan is a certified fitness professional in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. Maria offers private and group fitness/wellness training with a focus on the mind-body connection and benefits of movement and exercise. She is an instructor and holds a full-time faculty position in the Department of Health, Wellness and PE at Duke University She specializes in stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) yoga, TRX, cardio and strength training, and yoga.
Maria believes that we all have an amazing inner strength that we tap into through movement and fitness. She provides students and clients with authentic messages of hope that inspires change and provokes a realization of the true strength that lies within us. Through exercise, she focuses on the principle that our bodies are tremendous tools capable of overcoming physical and emotional struggles.

Standup paddleboard (SUP) yoga is a fantastic way to infuse variety into your workout routine and try a new yoga practice.
Indoor SUP Yoga is practiced on a paddleboard in the pool.
With our paddleboards, we create floating mats by tethering the boards to the lane ropes.
Moving through familiar poses and sequences in a less familiar setting, we have the opportunity to build core strength, balance and stability in a unique way.on a board, on top of the water.
