At SSCF, we know and understand how intimidating it can be to get started on a new fitness journey. Don't worry!

Our goal is to make your journey as simple and fun as possible. We want to meet you! We also want to hear your goals, answer your questions, asses where to start, and even let you try out a class for FREE. Brilliant place with great instructors and such a wonderful sense of community. Also, being a novice to CrossFit, it's great to go to a place where you can absolutely modify the workout if you need to.

Being new to Crossfit I was very nervous based on what I had heard in the past about the sport. Magical, pure magic. South Seattle Crossft is a cut above the rest, there is no comparing. The facilities are immaculate, it's almost unfair. The coaching staff is great, their pursuit of increasing the overall fitness of their members is what drives me back.

No need to sign-up for a specific class.
After registering, show up a few minutes early to get acquainted with the location.
Once here, sign in on the Check-in app on our front desk, introduce yourself to the coach, jump into the class, and have a great workout!
Our Fundamentals course is comprised of personalized sessions to familiarize you with CrossFit theory, movement techniques, safety, and what to expect here at SSCF.
This is required of all athletes new to CrossFit.
Our Fundamentals classes consist of 3 one-on-one (or small group if you are joining with someone else) sessions that cover some of the basic movements and philosophies found in CrossFit.
Not only do we cover safety and technique, but are also an opportunity for the SSCF coaches and new members to get to know one another better.
Metabolic Conditioning: builds capacity in each of three metabolic pathways, beginning with aerobic, then lactic acid, and then phosphocreatine pathways.
Weightlifting and Throwing: develop ability to control external objects and produce power.
Sport: applies fitness in competitive atmosphere with more randomized movements and skill mastery.
All workouts can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and mechanics in order to scale to the experience and fitness levels of any individual, be it a total fitness beginner or elite competitive CrossFitter.
We'll help improve your technique and develop great strength and power.
The focus will be on the following Olympic-style lifts: Snatch, Clean, Push-Press, Push-Jerk and Split-Jerk.
Whether you are a new or developing lifter, we'll help you learn to lift with efficient technique suited to your body.
You will be paired with a coach in a small group class to refine your style through various accessory techniques.
