Personalized Golf & Fitness
With every sport you are using different muscles. Golf is a physically demanding sport. When training for golf, you must include the following muscles: gluteus maximus, pectoralis major, latissimus dorsi, forearm, and the core. A self directed golf fitness program usually falls short of being successful, because most of the time people are not targeting their strength and weaknesses productively, which could lead to injury.

The trailside ankle, trailside knee, trailside hip, lumbar spine, and the thoracic spine all use more than one plane to initiate movement from address posture to the top of the backswing. Getting fit for golf is about becoming fit to play golf at your highest level and decreasing your risk of getting injured. Golf fitness is understanding the body's limitations that can influence your golf swing, and how you can take care of those limitations.

This understanding can be accomplished with swing instruction, rehabilitation, or strength and conditionng exercises. A TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) golf fitness professional can help the teaching pro understand how the body's strength and weakness can affect the golf swing.
Services
It's never to late to assure you're ready for the demanding stress that a golf swing puts on your body.
The K-Vest 3D (Three dimensional) provides the fitness professional with an easy to read 3D swing analysis, highlighting a golfer's strengths and weaknesses.
Just capture a swing in less than 5 seconds and the K-Vest system immediately gives a summary report for the instructor and the student.
Red numbers and body segments indicates the student is out of the PGA or LPGA range, the green numbers indicates they are in range.
Golfers are Athletes!
The golf swing is a rapid athletic movement, which requires muscles to fire sequentially and together to provide a coordinated, harmonious movement.
With the proper combination of strength, range of motion, balance/coordination, appropriate swing mechanics, and good physical condition you can achieve your desired goals.
There is no perfect golf swing and nobody swings the same way, but everyone seeks the same thing.
Golf is a physical sport and should be treated as such.
There are muscles that need to be strong and others that need to be flexible.
At Personalized Golf and Fitness we understand that "Somethings become a success after it has been tried".
I first met with Maria in November of 2012.
We started out with a thorough, yet simply assessment of strength and flexibility.
Maria then developed a fitness regiment that was geared towards my weaknesses and lack of flexibility.
When I started I couldn't do a full squat, by the end of our program, I was doing multiple sets.
Periodically throughout this program, she would reassess, and tailor the program accordingly.
The Q Club at THINQ Golf is the exclusive member's club dedicated to mental game improvement and performance.
Inside the member's area include brain games and educational content validated by the THINQ Golf Team.
There are many successful forms of mental training out there such as books or spending time with a sports psychologist, but what is the practical application to the information you are presented with?
How can they actually help you change the way you think and lower your scores?
THINQ Golf Games are designed to give golfers a convenient and accessible way to train essential skills like awareness, attention, synchronicity, intention, and adaptability that are necessary for golf performance.
The TPI Golf Screening is valuable information for any golfer.
This type of screening helps identify if you are lacking mobility and stability issues.
These issues do not not allow your body to reach the proper swing position, causes physical limitations within your golf swing, and contributes to painful movement.
Joint range of motion + Muscular flexibility = Mobility, and this is critical for proper body mechanics within the golf swing, as well as preventing a golfer from injury.
Balance + Muscle Endurance = Stability, which is necessary for golfer to have a powerful and consistent swing.
