At MODERN BUDO we offer various training courses that are very effective and proven. Our martial arts system is built on a balanced approach that incorporates joint manipulation, leverage, striking, ground tactics and submission techniques. The system focuses on a competency based approach in the training delivery methods to our students, regardless of their level of experience.

Our team is committed to a fun and professional learning environment that is relaxed, safe and respectful. We are tenured martial artists and certified personal fitness trainers. Our fitness training is tailored to the individual or group. We have a variety of exercise programs that are specific to our clients needs. In addtion, we have specialized exercise interval training program, body shaping and core courses which incorporate an explosive endurance workout regimen.

The American Modern Budo System is based on movements, which utilize natural weapons of the body such as hands, feet, elbows and knees. In conjunction with the striking techniques; American Budo incorporates joint locks, pins, throws, leverage and grappling principles to provide the solution for a "complete" balance.

American Kenpo Karate is the most influential system and it serves as the core foundational platform from which the American Modern Budo System was created.
American Kenpo is based on logic, concepts, and practical principles that have been designed to adaptively cope with today's modern day threats and fighting systems.
Unlike other systems, American Kenpo adapts to the student's unique abilities and also effectively deals with street self-defense situations.
