Our staff and members believe in creating a friendly environment for people at all fitness levels. Build strength and endurance with high-intensity workouts that are short on time but big on results. A passionate, knowledgeable personal trainer will show you what to do and keep you on the right track. Our nutrition program aims at educating you and putting you back on the right track for success.

We want to hear your fitness goals, assess a good starting point, and even let you try out a class for free! Getting fit is hard; staying fit is harder. We're here to ensure you build healthy habits and systems that keep you on the right track. Schedule your free trial with us. We like to organize our classes in small groups. Small group settings allow you to make new friends that might share the same interest(s) as you!

2-4 classes a week is realistic for beginners, depending on your level of fitness when you start. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so at the beginning, you might need more recovery time between training days.

Metcon is a nod to our CrossFit roots.
It's short for "Metabolic Conditioning".
This is essentially working out at an intensity high enough to increasing the metabolic demand (challenging your body's energy systems) and increasing energy usage (Burn more calories).
First, we'll give you a quick tour of the facility.
Then, we will sit down and answer any questions you might have about who we are and how we train at Metcon Long Beach.
Then we can determine the next best steps customized to your goals, needs, and fitness level.

You'll be participating in group classes utilizing the Metcon Long Beach methodologies outlined below.
Metabolic Conditioning: builds capacity in each of three metabolic pathways, beginning with aerobic, then lactic acid, and then phosphocreatine pathways.
Weightlifting and Throwing: develop the ability to control external objects and produce power.
