Nutrition is the foundation of health and will help you achieve success you can be proud of. Good nutrition doesn't have to be a chore-it CAN be manageable! You don't have to do this alone. You will have coaches and new friends that will guide you every step of the way to achieving your fitness and health goals. You start off strong for a few days or a few weeks, but then quickly return to old habits. You feel like you don't know what you are doing at the gym and that makes motivation difficult. You're always hungry when you are on a "diet" and you feel like you will won't succeed and reach your goals. Your clothes don't fit, you struggle with feeling healthy, and you are uncomfortable in your own skin.

Steve Johnson and his coaches do a great job of creating community. CrossFit RDU focuses on proper form before increasing the weight and speed. The gym itself is in large facility that is clean and has clean restrooms.

Our no sweat intro is an opportunity for you to come in to see the facility and meet with a coach to discuss your goals.
Most importantly it is a chance for you to tell us about you.
We are not a one size fits all program.
We want to know your background, goals and any obstacles that you may have with your fitness so that we can come up with a plan for success for you.

If you have at least 6 months of previous CrossFit experience, we invite you to start your journey with CrossFit RDU by joining us for two free trial classes.
If you are new to CrossFit or have less than 6 months of CrossFit experience, we invite you to start your journey with CrossFit RDU by scheduling a free intro session.
Due to safety precautions, there are no free trial classes.
After the intro session, we can determine the best route for you.
The free intro session is a 15-20 minute appointment at the gym to talk about your goals in starting CrossFit, your background, and the next step in getting started at CrossFit RDU, which is Foundations.
Steve has been a lifelong athlete, and in applying his athlete's drive and work ethic, went on to qualify 4th in the world for the CrossFit Games in 2015 in the ultra-competitive Masters 45-49 division.
And while he's a workhorse dedicated to his personal fitness, he's truly passionate about having a positive and lasting effect on people's lives.
Steve originally owned and operated a Jiu Jitsu studio and found CrossFit when he and his business partner brought in a third partner who ran a CrossFit affiliate.
In this course, you will be introduced to the movements that you will encounter in the CrossFit group classes.
You will also learn about the theory behind our program, and what to expect once you get into class.
In addition to this instruction, you will go through a workout at the end of each session.
Once you have completed the Foundations course, you will be able to join our CrossFit group classes.
