Poles have been used for centuries for acrobatics and circus tricks. The 50's and 60's created the stigma we know today about "pole dancing". It wasn't until the 1990s that pole re-introduced itself, lifting this exciting form of exercise out of bars and into fitness studios around the world. The first competition was held in NYC in 2007. Now, pole competitions are worldwide.

Today, pole dancing, pole fitness draws influence from dance, gymnastics, and circus arts. Dance styles can run from sporty to sensual. Pole is an excellent way to build strength, improve flexibility, enhance coordination, increase endurance and lose weight all while boosting your self-confidence. Pole Fitness, Chair Fitness, Aerial Yoga & Cardio Fitness Classes is for all women from a wide range of professions, shapes, sizes, fitness levels, you name it.

No Jewelry, piercings, rings, clothes with zippers, rhinestones, stiletto, sharp pointed nails. Regular nails and feet trimmed all can rip the Hammocks/Silks. Do not moisturize the day of pole class & aerial yoga class!
Services
Sandy fell in love with fitness ten years ago as a cardio kickboxing student.
She soon added multiple classes to her routine (spin, boot camp, yoga, pilates, toning, barre, tabata) and began running 5ks and half marathons.
She recently decided to turn her passion into a career and obtained her ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification.
Over the last year, she was mentored by her long-time kickboxing instructor and began running her own kickboxing, boot camp and tabata classes.
Sandy is excited to bring her energy and excitement for fitness to our studio and the community.
Under the age of 18 parental consent is required.
Your Parent/Guardian needs to come to the studio with you, so they can sign the release liability/waiver form with a copy of their valid ID.
This is for Insurance liability purposes.
Make sure you are accompanied by your parent/guardian when coming in for your first class.
Respect your Instructors and fellow members.
While in class please leave your phone conversations as well as text messaging outside studio.
We do not tolerate bad mannered behavior, disrespecting or bullying of other members & their personal space.
Pole Fitness builds a significant amount of strength, flexibility, endurance, with a vertical Pole.
Combination of dance moves, gymnastics, spins, climbs, body Inversion, slides, floor work and holds.
Pole fitness classes are a great work out that conditions the entire body, legs, abs, arms, and cardiovascular workout.
Classes concentrate on fitness and never resemble a bachelor party.
You lift your own body weight in motion seeing results quickly without your muscles getting bored or tired.
REQUIREMENTS: Be comfortable BOTH SIDES in your inversions, solid climbs, spins, spinning one handed, leg hangs, etc. etc.

Vertical Fitness is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings while attending class.
Tight -fitting, bicycle shorts or leggings.
Avoid loose, baggy fitting clothing.
Weight lifting gloves with open fingers are recommended along with sneakers for traction hair pulled back.
Studio parties are the perfect way to celebrate any occasion to have a fun and fabulous night out with friends!.
Party Event can be rescheduled given a 12 day notice.
If you would like to change your party package, start time, upgrade your package or add time, please give us a text or email at least 12 days before your party and we will try our best to accommodate the change which will need to be in writing via email, in person, or text.
No changes will be made until you receive a confirmation from Vertical a Fitness NJ Instructor.
