Completing the workout using movements that mimic the "Prescribed" Version.
This is done when an athlete is unable to complete the movement at hand.
EX: Strict Pullups.
If an athlete is unable to complete a strict pullup, we can SCALE by using a band, or perform "Ring Rows" to mimic the pulling movement.

Nick had really only been doing CF for about 6 months, but his eating was pretty typical for most individuals that come our way.
Inconsistent eating across the board, lacking in overall protein consumption, and under-eating calories as a whole.
Throughout the WHOLE process, Nick never gained more than 3-5lbs from his initial starting weight and often fluctuated LOWER than his starting weight, but the progress pics every few weeks NEVER showed any sign of "weight gain".
As we built food, he continued to LEAN OUT, get more shredded, and not really change the weight on the scale much.

Crossfit is defined as, Functional Movements that are performed at high intensity and constantly varied.
Our focus is aimed at improving the 10 foundations of crossfit; Cardiovascular/Repertory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
Through these we develop a full spectrum of "Fitness", creating a broad range of athleticism and an overall improved wellness of life.

The Clean and Jerk, and the Snatch.
To master these movements, you must master the squat, deadlift, power clean, and shoulder to overhead.
To master these movements, you must understand the movements, positions, and possess good mobility and movement patterns, In our OLY classes, not only do we spend time perfecting the lifts but more importantly the foundational positions that will help you master the lift itself.
Our coaching staff is highly educated on proper movement mechanics with and without the barbell in hand, so don't always expect to be lifting tons of weight if you expect to get better at OLY Lifting!
