Over his decades of teaching, Master Al-Atrash has developed and refined a unique curriculum that maximizes learning and progress in a fun and exciting way.
The Children's Program helps each student develop courtesy, self-control, and self-esteem.
Our instructors emphasize the philosophy of TaeKwonDo as a defensive art.
Margaret Webb Pressler of the Washington Post writes "It's not all serious, though".
Graeme Tsai, who is almost 8 and has been doing tae kwan do with his father, Robert, for a year at Flying Kick Fitness in Bethesda and says "Sometimes it's funny to take class with a parent."
Graeme likes to show his father that he is more flexible and can kick higher, which has created some "friendly competition, " Robert Tsai.
Our family program offers three classes each week in which parents, chilren, siblings, or any family member can learn and practice TaeKwonDo together - and simply have fun together.
This class is for ages 12+, this is a new program just started for young adults at Flying Kick.
This program focuses on intensive activity, yet learning Tae Kwon Do and a few other martial arts.
These martial arts techniques come from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the punches from boxing, and Aikido is used as part of these self-defense techniques.
This program has a foundation of Tae Kwon Do but yet other martial arts will be taught.
This program is a great way to get our young adults to work together and yet have a lot of fun.
Flying Kick has brought Tae Kwon Do to Just For Kids LLC located in Georgetown.
Just For Kids LLC is a family owned business that provides children with a safe environment to play and release energy in a positive way by engaging them in activities such as gymnastics, hip hop dancing, and now Tae Kwon Do.
The program is taught by Mr. Eddy and Mr. Bo.
Each has been teaching Tea Kwon Do to children for years.
The program meets every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
The program's goals are to provide kids with traditional Tae Kwon Do knowledge, while providing a fun activity for all kids.
Flying Kick offers private lessons and group lessons in Tae Kwon Do, and self defense.
This can be used to accomplish many goals in one's Tae Kwon Do abilities.
It can also be used to learn more about self defense and feel more comfortable.
In private and group lessons the focus is based on individual needs whereas, each person can excel and grow in a more relaxed environment.
Group lessons could be formed based on a group coming together as friends to learn and have fun, focused on whatever their personal focus may be, which can include more exercise and conditioning to more technical Tea Kwon Do Skills.
