Our bodies are designed to move. It's become normal to spend the majority of our day sedentary and a small minority in a movement practice. Many of us have a job which require us to adopt this lifestyle. Because of this imbalance, we slowly experience pain here, aches there, and suddenly moving actually becomes challenging as a result! At Foundation Movement & Fitness, our goal is to improve your quality of life through bringing your physical, mental, and spiritual self back into harmony.
We specifically address the physical aspect, posture. We analyze your movement and help put you back together while also addressing lifestyle changes to help you heal and maintain your health long term. Through our community, we uplift one another and work through these things together so that you can have a happy, pain free life.

At Foundation Movement & Fitness, we help our clients develop quality movement patterns, correct posture and get out of pain.
It is our philosophy that by further educating and empowering our clients on how to properly use their bodies and to be in touch with themselves, we improve their quality of life.
In short, I basically fix your posture.
I do this through analyzing how you move and then creating a personalized program that will get you to where you need to be so that you are no longer in pain and know how to move well.

We talk about who you are, what you love to do and how we can get you where you want to be.
Your healing process is more than just your back, shoulder, or hip functioning without pain.
It's a process of empowering you to develop a new relationship with you body and mind that you can take with you when you leave us.

Directions: Our office is connected to the Carlsbad Crossfit off El Camino Real.
If you find yourself on the side of the building with giant garage doors and Crossfit classes, if you drive around the building to the opposite side you'll find our entrance (glass doors with a Carlsbad Crossfit sign in large green letters).
While we are good friends with everyone at Crossfit, we ask that you please don't walk through their side of the building to get to our office as it's disruptive to their classes!

Your initial intake is broken up into two approximately one hour sessions that are both one on one.
The first of these sessions is for your Postural and Functional Movement Assessment.
This is a comprehensive testing approach to see exactly where your postural complications are and how your structural foundation is working.
We are examining your skeletal, muscular, and neurological systems individually and collectively to determine what your body is doing!
The second appointment is after we have thoroughly analyzed your assessment.

At the office there is always a wide range of conversation topics from health and wellness to just laughing and joking about everyday life stuff.
Appointments last about 30 minutes and you will have one on one attention the whole time.
