CrossFit Thunderhawk Kids and Teens fitness program is designed specifically to promote a lifelong love for fitness! Our program is dedicated to developing strength and conditioning, emphasizing natural and consistent movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Healthy living requires that children and teens to push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, jump effectively and safely, regardless of whether they are in school or club sports.

CrossFit Thunderhawk Kids and Teens enhances sports performance with fewer injuries. Our constantly varied fitness makes our program perfect for every child from the less active to the competitive soccer player. It presents an alternative to an inactive lifestyle associated with chronic illnesses such as childhood obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. The CrossFit Thunderhawk Kids and Teens program stimulates neurodevelopment and, at the same time, supports age-appropriate physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.

We focus on teamwork, confidence building, good movement, but most importantly, fun!

You may be asking, "What if my child is new to CrossFit?"
No need to worry.
CrossFit Kids/Teens is a modified regimen based on the regular CrossFit program.
Each workout, your kids will be participating in fun and engaging movements based on running, drills, games, bodyweight exercises, and Olympic lifts.
There will be drills that are specifically designed to help your kids develop critical thinking and reasoning skills, teach them the value of teamwork, develop their leadership skills, and instill confidence.
Proper hydration, sugar, sleep habits, macronutrients, balanced meals, snack choices, and more.
During each class, we discuss topics like proper hydration, sugar, sleep habits, macronutrients, balanced meals, snack choices, and nutrition facts label reading.
We teach your children how to make good choices about what foods they put in their bodies.
They will learn basic concepts about foods that are bad for them and what are the good foods that give their body nutrients to function properly.
In 2015, the New Mexico Department of Health stated 25.6% of kindergarten students and 34.4% of third graders were overweight or obese in New Mexico.
Join us for events, seminars, specialty classes, and competitions - appropriate for all skill levels.
We always have a lot going on, whether it is an event within our gym, a local CrossFit competition, a seminar on nutrition, or a specialty class, check out the calendar and keep your child involved!
This kids and teens class will help your child learn the gymnastics movements often seen in CrossFit workouts.
