Pearlside Boxing & Fitness
We enable people with Parkinson's disease to participate in a non-contact boxing fitness program. It improves their quality of life and delays progression of symptoms. We provide encouragement through a "tough love" approach, inspiring maximum effort, speed, strength, balance, and flexibility. Classes: Rock Steady Boxing Kapolei offers classes to accommodate varying degrees of Parkinson's fitness levels.

Coach Eiichi is a "certified RSB Coach" & Pearlside Gym is a Rock Steady Boxing Affiliate. Call to set-up an appointment for assessment and class placement. First time members all go through an Orientation Session, 45 minutes before class time, to learn Pearlside's Punch number call system and our methodology. This must be learned before attending any of our Fitness Classes.

Those wanting to try out for our Boxing Team, must go through an assessment and evaluation conducted by Coach Eiichi Jumawan.

For years, coach Eiichi has had the passion to give back to the community, especially the young, the joy of getting fit through the sport of boxing.
Coach Eiichi had gained so much from boxing, winning 2 USA National Championships, representing the USA in international competition, was an alternate for the 1976 U.S. A. Olympic Boxing Team, he felt it was his calling to give back to Hawaii's young people.
Learn how nutrition, roadwork, sport psychology, strength & conditioning, discipline and consistency play into learning to box and to master the skills needed.
Skill set is higher and boxing basics taught in the BOXING FITNESS CLASS must be mastered.
Coaching is stricter, expectations are higher (regarding learning, discipline, & consistency).
We maximize talents (skills, technique, conditioning, defense, offense, footwork, positioning, distance, learn to do mitt work for competition, and sparring both technical (light contact or modified 50%) to Full Contact (competitive, game speed, to get fight ready).
Hello, my name is Kyler and I have been with Pearlside Boxing for four years.
I started at age sixteen, a timid, scared, and nerdy teenage boy.
I was a very shy and antisocial person.
I spoke very quietly, softly, wouldn't look anyone in the eye, and could not carry a conversation at all.
Over the years Coach Eiichi has blessed me with many opportunities to help improve my self-confidence, social skills, leadership skills, and of course the sweet science of boxing.
Ever since I walked through the doors of Pearlside gym, Coach Eiichi & Auntie Robyn welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I belonged.
