I grew up in Emmett, Idaho, after moving in 8th grade I went to Vallivue High School, my freshmen year was when I fell in love with fitness, I spent all my free time either playing basketball or working out, once I realized the advantage working out gave me I was sold on proving hard work can beat talent any day.
After playing two years of Varsity basketball I graduating high school and attended Tvcc in Ontario, Oregon where I studied Physical Education, while playing basketball for the Chukars, after graduating I transferred to Grandview University in Des Moines, Iowa to study Kinesiology & Health Promotion while also playing on the NAIA D1 Men's basketball team.

The name for our CrossFit facility came from a position of contemplation, thinking about what I wanted my future to look like and when I looked at the direction I was heading before taking on this project of opening CrossFit Canvas, I didn't see that future being something that would drive me to be excited about waking up every day, so following my own beliefs I took the risk of challenging myself to open my own gym.
I truly believe that we are solely responsible for where we go in life, what we do, what we accomplish and what we regret never doing or trying.
