Barbell training differs from other fitness methods by putting strength first. Strength is the beginning of health, both physically and mentally. I train people, people of all ages and body types, to be stronger in the gym and in life. Barbell training also offers the benefit of quantifiable goals. Members of Vinny's Gym watch not only their own improvements on the achievement boards on the wall, but the progress of their fellow trainees, as well.
We all move forward together, encouraging one another and pushing each other to reach strength heights that seemed impossible in the beginning. And the changes happen faster than you'd think. Strength and health involve both body and mind. Women and men alike enter Vinny's Gym believing their bodies are incapable of movements and strength ideals that are well within reach.
Often those movements and ideals even set the bar low for what these individuals can achieve. But mastering the mind goes even deeper. I'm not here to sculpt my trainees' bodies into the the ones they think they want, based on the impossible, Photoshopped standards set by celebrities and the media.

He is a Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Strength Coach through the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
