Wapsi Physical Therapy & Fitness Center
We have been here for your Physical Therapy needs since 2003 with one main goal in mind: to provide quality physical therapy that always puts the patient first. The staff at Wapsi PT works with you to attain your goals - whatever they are. We have experience in pain reduction, strengthening, increasing movement, and balance training. We work to help you recover from your injury or surgery allowing you to get back to work or sports activities.

We are not satisfied until you are. The addition of the fitness center will allow us to be your "one stop shop" to fix your aches and pains, help you get in shape and keep you there. The gym will allow you to work out on your terms - exercise classes, personal training, sports performance improvement, or do your own thing. Our highly trained staff is available to assist in designing a program for you and encourage you every step of the way.
Services
Wapsi Physical Therapy opened in 2003 with a staff of one.
As the number of patients grew we had to move to a new larger location at 400 W Main and added staff as well.
Besides providing Physical Therapy services, Sally has also spent time over the years with area athletes by being present at games and checking in on practices weekly.
This led to the addition of our sports performance program Maximum sport.
We have enjoyed challenging the athletes to reach a higher level of performance.
We added exercise classes to expand this to non students.
I am very pleased with the help I have received at Wapsi Physical Therapy.
I have been impressed with how hard they try to find helpful ways in which to treat my individual health needs.
It matters not which one of the staff is providing your therapy, as they are all good.
I first saw Sally in 2004 before a trip to Germany.
She fixed my shoulder so I could lift my luggage and enjoy my trip.
I have since gone back to Sally and her helpful team, for other aches and pains plus 2 knee replacements.
Sally Meyer, PT Sally, an Anamosa Alumni, graduated from Luther in 1995 and received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa.
She started Wapsi Physical Therapy in September of 2003 and her client list and business grew very quickly.
As her business took off, Sally and her husband Jamie had their first baby, Emily and her brother Wes, joined the family 2 years later.
On the rare occasion that Sally is not in the office, she is at home helping on the farm, playing with her kids, or working on projects that given enough time, will get completed.

Wapsi Physical Therapy treats the whole patient and looks beyond the obvious symptoms.
We will diligently search to help you discover what caused the pain or pains, which sent you through our doors and assist in teaching you how to prevent it from returning.
We can help develop an exercise program for you to do at home or you can come into our new gym, where our friendly encouragement will keep you on track by making sure you maintain proper form and technique.
Our intent is to help reduce the chance of injury and if an injury should occur, to assist the athlete and the family, on what the next step should be after the game is over.
