Matss Kids Gym

In the mid-1980's, four mothers with young children became disenchanted with the gymnastics programs available for youngsters in Nassau County.
They could not find suitable programs for their toddlers, pre-nursery and pre-kindergarten children.
So, they decided they should start their own gym.
Pooling money together, the four mothers bought two blue mats and began giving classes in a local American Legion Hall.
In one month they outgrew their location and formally started M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym in 1985.

OUR CHILD SAFETY PROGRAM M.A.T.S.S. Management and staff are always concerned about the safety and well-being of the children we care for.
Our staff are routinely trained in various N.Y.S. mandated Health & Safety procedures such as CPR/First Aid/Medical Assistance Training (MAT), Mandated Reporter, Fire & Shelter-In- Place Drills etc. and we provide Parent Resources and information on other programs such as Child ID Day, N.C W.H.A.L.E Program and N.Y.S. Laws concerning Child Car Seat Safety.
As part of its accreditation, AngelWatch will now provide the conduit to notify all emergency services for the Syosset Center, to allow them to assess situations before getting to the emergency.

Words cannot truly express how grateful and thankful we are for having found M.A.T.S.S.
Riley has become a much different child from her first day of separation & camp.
Each of you gave her the extra attention she needed while learning it's OK to be away from Mommy.
She speaks about each of you daily and is always so excited when I tell her it's a camp day.
We look forward to September and the years ahead.
Thank you again for a wonderful summer and having so much patience with our little one.

As a Early Childhood Education Center, we naturally are privy to various support information.
Being aware that balancing your work schedule with raising your children is sometimes challenging, we periodically replenish our reception/waiting areas with support materials regarding Health & Safety tips to age-specific child development information, including family emergency preparedness/planning tips.
We are always striving to make your experience with us comfortable-- our teachers, staff, managers and director are available as well to answer any questions or guide you to the best resource.
