I have always been "fit" in some way.
And I was always active during my childhood, teenage, and college years.
Achieving a degree in nutrition and then working as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator for the past 16 years has also motivated me to exercise and keep myself at a healthy weight to provide an example to the patients I counsel.
I considered weight training a 'waste of time' because it never seemed to give me any 'results.'
I typically considered how many calories I burned during exercise to be the most important component of my exercise routine.
And I was always active during my childhood, teenage, and college years.
