Online fitness training to help you achieve your fitness goals while staying safe at home. Dennis is great! I have tried many different exercise routines and this is the one I have stayed with the longest (over 2 years). With Dennis, I don't get bored because he switches up the routines. The best part is he comes to you so you can't blow off a workout - and it only takes 30 minutes.

No gym membership needed! Core Fitness is a smart investment on my own health. Dennis is the real deal. No gimmicks, no "trendy" workouts/diets for sale here. He is simply an encouraging, challenging, and supportive fitness trainer who wants the best from his clients. I love that the workouts you get are so connected to everyday movements- functional exercises- that help you run better, lift better, bike better.

Dennis is also very entertaining company as you curse him silently under your breath (or out loud if you're me!) during that third set of pushups. Dennis pushes you but not in an intimidating way. Instead you feel like you're really in this thing together and that's definitely what I want from a trainer.
Services
When the pandemic happened in 2020, I knew I had to protect my clients' health as well as my own.
It didn't make sense to continue working with clients inside their homes.
I realized I could offer my same personal training services to my clients as an online personal trainer in order to keep them going and to protect everyone for the time being.
Now that the pandemic is waning, I will still be offering this service for anyone that feels more comfortable doing online training.
This option will be a permanent fixture in our business practice.
What do you think of when you hear about working with a Fort Collins in-home personal trainer?
Does it conjure up images of muscle-bound personal trainers in a gym, holding a clip board and yelling at their clients to get, "ONE MORE!" while they look at the latest text message on their phone and think about the next supplement they are going to sell to you?
Does it mean that you need to use all that fancy equipment that comes with a gym membership to get you in the best shape of your life?
Does it mean you must spend HOURS lifting weights and doing boring, mindless cardio on an elliptical machine?
In 2018, I am starting to focus more on working with clients that need assistance with their post-physical therapy needs.
In the last 15 years, I have worked with a host of clients with varying physical limitations.
I was approached this year by a Fort Collins physical therapist that was working with one of my existing long-term clients to see if I was interested in taking on more post-physical therapy clients.
After thinking about it, it made sense for me to help these existing patients of the physical therapist.
In 2013, I began working with special needs adults.
I now have the pleasure of training two wonderful young adults with autism and one wonderful young adult with Down syndrome.
Working with the special needs adults population is a little different from training other clients; however, there are also similarities.
Each individual is unique, and personal training is tailored to meet each client's individual needs.
Sensory Integration: By showing these young adults the correct way to move with a particular exercise, they are able to gain body awareness, coordination and control.
My wife and I, after 25 years of start-and-stop exercise, found Dennis online last year.
We met at our house and he explained his process for functional fitness.
We liked the idea of building strength and cardio for everyday life (going to the gym to build 'ego muscles' was never very motivating).
We also liked the idea of a 30-minute workout three times per week (because staring down the barrel of a 60 or 90-minute workout wasn't sustainable for us).
So, we signed up.
Here we are over a year later, and this is the first time in our lives outside of playing sports as kids that we have worked out this consistently for this long.
