My husband and I came for our first kickboxing class here yesterday. Immediately, Jeanne was warm and welcoming; she picked up instantly how nervous I was (I'd never done anything like this before and it's been a hard year where I let myself go a lot). I didn't have a lot of confidence. She was supportive and positive with us throughout the whole workout, and especially toward my husband who has Fibromyalgia.
That meant a lot to me personally because not many people understand this condition and they take for granted that just because he's a tall, big-looking dude, he's not always 100% able to do everything everyone else can.
