Growing up I was a fit and healthy kid.
I ran track every spring and enjoyed snowboarding during the winter.
When I first moved to Minnesota to go to college, staying fit wasn't one of my priorities.
I wanted more energy and a life that better represented who I felt I could be.
After struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle, my weight fluctuated over the next 5 years.
It wasn't until the third time I'd shed that extra twenty pounds that it stuck.

I always had a passion for athletics and craved more information about nutrition.
Together we will find practical steps toward eating better, being more active and finding time for fitness in your busy lifestyle.
Pilates is a full-body workout meant to strengthen the whole body, small and large muscles alike, as well as improve flexibility and mobility throughout the body.
We teach mat Pilates, a low impact workout, which can be done with just your own body weight or with props such as a small ball or theraband.
Confidence is key when approaching a piece of strength training equipment at the gym or using free weights at home.
I've been doing private pilates lessons with Kaethe (Urban Fitness instructor) for about 10 months.
It's made a huge difference in my life by releasing body tension and the stress that comes with it.
I didn't realize how much tension I held in my body until working with Kaethe.
She has an incredible eye.
She's great at identifying where you are tensing and guiding you to relax and perform the exercise with proper technique.
If you're considering pilates, I'd recommend trying with Kaethe.
