The Well Being
We provide traditional outpatient counseling services by our staff of skilled and experienced therapists that are grounded in evidence-based practices. We utilize physical exercise as a primary form of treating most commonly occurring mental health issues, such as anxiety & depression, and do so based on science and research.

To empower our clients by teaching them how to improve their mental health through the use of physical exercise in conjunction with the skills, tools, insight, and awareness gained through outpatient counseling. We aim to provide a comfortable setting for outpatient counseling services as well as a ready to use fitness center. We are always looking for the right people!
Services
At The Well Being, we provide outpatient mental health services and incorporate exercise as a form of treatment.
We are not prescribing medication, we are prescribing a way of life.
Cogito, ergo sum.
I think therefore I am.
Problematic behaviors are oftentimes rooted in problematic thinking.
Our staff of skilled therapists can help you identify what your mental and behavioral roadblocks are, and figure out ways to overcome these barriers.
Cardiovascular exercise is the best mental health medication available on the market today.
While clients are receiving counseling they have open-access to our on-site fitness center at no additional charge.
This includes our on-site group fitness classes!
We believe in the power that cardiovascular exercise holds as a form of mental health treatment, and have established it as a cornerstone of our practice!
When we opened our doors in June of 2011, The Well Being was the first outpatient mental health facility in the United States to provide its clientele with an on-site fitness center, specifically for their use, and specifically for their mental health.
An interval training class that mixes calisthenics and bodyweight exercises with cardio and strength training.
With a new workout every week, these classes are designed to push participants harder than they'd push themselves and to always keep the body guessing.
Each class will have various exercise "stations" in which exercises will be performed for a given amount of time followed by a short period of rest between exercises and/or stations.
Mike Zimmer is a Corrective Exercise specialist from the West Michigan area who has a knack for helping people get moving, while healing any aches and pains they may have!
When it comes to exercise, people encounter many barriers.
The financial barrier certainly can be one of them.
Working with a personal trainer is oftentimes financially unaffordable to many, as is paying to attend group fitness classes.
Sometimes a person is in need of the proper clothing or shoes for exercising or working out, but again, it is not within their budget.
Similarly, for many people who are struggling with their mental health, seeing a therapist on a regular basis is something that they can not financially do.
