Golfstretch offers a unique service to the community; to individuals who golf, and even those who do not. As a total Sports Performance and Wellness Center, we offer multiple specialized services at one location provided by people who not only have certifications in sports performance and golf fitness, but who are avid athletes themselves. Our primary focus is improving your quality of movement.
This is the foundation for everything. When we're not moving correctly, muscle imbalances and injuries occur, causing pain and affecting your quality of life. We're not like other performance and wellness centers. No matter what sport you play or what kind of pain you're experiencing, our screening protocol narrows down the exact joints and muscles that are giving you pain or limiting your potential.
We then work with you on a program that is specifically targeted at your goals, including several beneficial therapies during your course of treatment. Our stretching program is one of our strong points and has helped our clients find flexibility and mobility they didn't even know possible.

Services
We start by looking at every joint in your body, surrounding tissues, and movement patterns using evidence based orthopedic screens.
This part of the consultation takes about 30-40 minutes, and gives us a great idea where we need to build stability, mobility, and strength.
After the screens we'll have have you hit a few balls for us in the hitting bay and put your swing on video to show you why you swing the way you do, due to physical limitations.
Step 3- Stretching.
The last part of the Golf Fitness assessment includes about 20-30 minutes of our Golf Stretching Program.

Prolonged sitting and standing with poor postural alignment increases a person's risk of upper crossed syndrome, rounded shoulders, and tight pectoral muscles.
Fortunately, there are exercises that can help loosen tight shoulder muscles, increase flexibility, and reduce upper back discomfort.
In this blog, CEO of Golfstretch Adam Swanson demonstrates an exercise called an assisted lunge with shoulder flexion to help with these issues.
To help improve a person's golf game at Golfstretch Therapies, I provide them with adequate exercises and stretches to improve their mobility.

Tight muscles in the lower leg can cause issues while walking, which can have an impact on other areas of the body.
This exercise is a great way to keep these muscles loose.
Tight IT bands are usually caused by prolonged sitting or overactive, tight muscles on the hip.
Use this foam roller for the hips and IT band.
Exercise: Lie on your side and roll from your hip to your knee until you find a tender spot.
Stay on that spot for at least 30 seconds, or until your discomfort is reduced.
This muscle group (adductors) is inhibited on nearly everyone who sits for long periods of time.
