I've been a personal trainer since 2011. I attended Parkland College's personal trainer program from 2009-2011 and it was quite the eye opening experience for me. I had been interested in fitness before, but the program exposed me to a lot of different methods and tools that I hadn't used before. After graduating the program I decided to pursue being a personal trainer as a career and have been seeing clients ever since!

I became interested in becoming a massage therapist after being a personal trainer for several years. I saw how much foam rollers and other massage tools helped my clients, so I figured it would be a good idea to learn more about massage. I enrolled in Parkland College's massage therapy program in 2014 and graduated in the summer of 2015. I now divide my time between doing personal training and massage therapy.

They both have their own good qualities about them and they're different enough from each other to keep me focused and engaged. I like both equally and plan on doing both for as long as I have clients who want to work with me.

If you're serious about improving your health and starting an exercise program, a trainer can save you from a lot of headaches and setbacks.
Exercise Technique - I'm a huge stickler for correct form while exercising.
Using proper technique ensures that you're getting the most out of every exercise you do, and helps reduce the risk of injury.
I feel like I'm witnessing a train wreck every time I walk into a public gym, just due to the amount of awful technique on display.
Massage has been shown to have several benefits.
These benefits include stress relief, managing chronic pain, reducing anxiety, improving sleep, reducing muscle tension, and improving blood flow.
Some people may see more benefits from massage than others.
Everyone is different so what work for helping one person might not necessarily help another.
Keep this in mind when scheduling an appointment and it helps to have a realistic outcome in mind if you're getting a massage to target a specific issue.
