POP Fitness offers exercise classes exclusively for people living with Parkinson's disease who are fighting to improve their quality of life. We offer group classes for Rock Steady Boxing, and PWR!Moves. While exercise is an important part of any healthy lifestyle, for a person with Parkinson's It is critical for maintaining mobility and slowing down progression of the disease.

I am a physical therapist with over 31 years of experience.
I have worked in a variety of settings, but recently became more focused on working with PD.
Since then I have attended training and become a PWR! Therapist, a PWR! Instructor, and a Rock Steady Boxing coach.
I decided to start POP Fitness and devote all of my time to Parkinson's specific treatments.
Power Over Parkinson's (POP) Fitness focuses on exercise for those living with PD. 2% of the population has Parkinson's disease.
Studies show that exercise 3 times per week can slow effects of PD.
Rock Steady Boxing was founded in 2006 by former Marion County (Indiana) prosecutor, Scott Newman, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 40.
Rock Steady Boxing utilizes non contact boxing drills to improve agility, speed, strength, power, endurance, and hand eye coordination.
Classes provide an environment for people to gain confidence in their abilities, and "Fight back" against PD.
Classes include warm ups, exercises to focus on coordination, agility, endurance and voice activation.
