Attention all lineman! CORE FOCUS on basic fundamentals. Let common sense and solid, scientifically designed exercise routines and dietary changes work your miracles. We can take your physique and tone it and shape it to the extreme or any fraction of extreme that you like. The client receives a functional assessment. This is done by appointment. The client chooses their training options in conjunction with The Sports Performance Director.

Routines are mapped out by the Sports Performance Director. Performance coaches implement training routines during the client's mode of training whether it be private, semi-private or small group. The results of the assessment as well as the client's goals or sport, age and position have been taken into account. Clients train here 1-5 times per week.

We strive to set up long term relationships to facilitate total development. Many athletes progress here for years at a time reaching new levels each season. Ongoing evaluation: Performance coaches evaluate as we go, provide feedback to the Performance Director, and adjustments are made workout to workout based on sport season by the Performance Director.

Ed Wietholder is the founder and President of Strength Fitness and Speed, Inc. which opened in 1998.
Previously Ed consulted for Workouts by Wietholder from 1990-1998 while a Perfusionist at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Ed has trained thousands of clients from the Pittsburgh area.
In addition, many have benefited from his routine design and consultation across the United States.
Jake graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Exercise Science.
He received his doctorate of Physical Therapy at Mount Union.

The SFAS boot camp is a group class that emphasizes strength building, fat loss and sculpting with an attitude.
Men and Women from the Pittsburgh area have been training like athletes and transforming their bodies.

We will prepare you to better function in your daily life events whether that is long periods of standing, lifting heavy objects or chasing or dealing with the stress of your children!
We have been doing adult personal training for over 20 years.
I first came across Strength, Speed and Fitness when I was the head baseball coach at Kiski Area.
At that time I was astounded at the progress the players that trained with them made in the short period of time they had worked with them.
As each of the players became faster, stronger and more agile, their level of play and their self-confidence greatly improved.
I am presently the head baseball coach at Belle Vernon Area.
Once again I am seeing the benefits of their program in the 12 players that are regularly working under them.
