Wendy S. Botelho-Cortez is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer at the Island of Hawaii YMCA.
Born and raised on Hawai'i island, her "local girl" roots run deep into our community.
She attended Saint Joseph, Hilo High School, Hawaii Community College, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
Wendy values family, integrity, honesty, and hard work.
She exemplifies meaning of Aloha in every aspect.
Wendy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the of Island of Hawaii YMCA.
After working for Hawaii State Government, she has experience in many different social aspects from the Department of Public Safety, Human Services and Health to the working alongside of the Executive Chambers.

Day Camps at the Y New Horizons Youth Day Camp Come and Join a YMCA New Horizons Day Camp!
Your child will engage in various activities that support a healthy mind, body and spirit!
We offer assistance in connecting your child to his/her distance learning classes throughout the day.

The CONNECTIVITY Program provides children and youth on the Island of Hawaii a safe haven to gain FREE access to the internet or WIFI and the use of education based technology devices to aid in distance learning.
We accept medical membership through HMSA (Active & Fit), Kaiser (Silver Sneakers), Ohana Health Care, United Health Care, Cambia Medical, Premera, Blue Cross, University Health Alliance.
Special coaching class now offered!
Group Fitness class with Dorian - build and maintain athletic abilities, strength, endurance, flexibility and overall reach functional fitness.
The small group classes will target specific areas of the body through proper usage of a wide range of equipment in the gym including machines and free weights.
Amanda will be teaching Yoga Blend, a custom class that incorporates breathwork, gentle movements, and sweat!;
This class is for anybody, whether you are new to yoga or have a dedicated practice, Yoga Blend has something for you!
Amanda has been teaching Yoga in the Hilo community in a wide range of settings, from studios to high school classrooms, retreats, prisons, and preschools, making her teaching style unique and accessible.

Ash Tsuji's passion for musical theatre allowed him to perform internationally before returning home to Hilo.
