Our 3-Point Wellness Assessment is performed by our licensed, small-animal Massage Therapist.
A canine hydro treadmill is similar to a regular treadmill but it is filled with warm water to the desired level, usually the point of the shoulder.
Once the water is filled, the hydro treadmill is started and the dog walks at a regulated pace.
There are many benefits received from the use of a canine Hydro treadmill.
Buoyancy from the water takes pressure off the joints and helps ease pain.
Exercising in water increases resistance, helps strengthen muscles, tighten tendons and increase circulation.
WOOF! Training Academy uses all-positive, reward based training techniques.
We'll never use punishment, e-collars, prong collars or any technique that creates a fearful dog.
But which ever you choose, training should be fun and positive, where you can develop a trusting relationship with your dog.
Reward-based techniques are vastly superior to training by punishment, such as with the use of shock collars, prong collars and fear.
And a 'vibration' or 'stimulation' collar is still using fear and a negative behavior approach.
This class will introduce you and your dog to skills that will last a lifetime.
You'll learn to have a more rewarding relationship with your dog with improved behavior in your home.
And you'll impress your friends with a well mannered dog! Sit and Stay is just the beginning; We'll teach your dog to pay attention to you regardless of distractions.
An essential class for every dog and their guardian.
As in all our classes, we use only all-positive, reward-based training techniques.
Classes last six consecutive weeks from the start date, once weekly, for about 45 minutes per session, and practice at home is required.
In this 4-week class, puppies will be introduced to new experiences including sound, texture, handling and socializing with other puppies and people.
An experienced trainer will guide exercises and short play sessions according to temperament and size.
We encourage full family participation, as the trainer will encourage appropriate play styles and guide dog parents on visual cues to their puppy's behavior.
The 'teenage' months in between puppy and young adult can be stressful.
That roly-poly puppy is no longer and your dog doesn't yet have the calm demeanor of an adult.
Getting your dog to walk without pulling!
But how?
It's the most asked question at obedience classes and private consultations, How can I get my dog not to pull on his leash?
This class is just what you're looking for.
We'll use positive reinforcement training and management tools that will guide you and your dog to become happy walking partners.
Going on walks will become a pleasant experience for both of you!
We see great success in our Loose Leash Walking class with many satisfied students.
