Pea in the Pod Fitness offers mobile, personal training for women in Indianapolis, as well as, remote coaching for women all over the world. Pea in the Pod Fitness was born out of a passion for women's fitness. Abby Kurtz, the owner, has worked in a multitude of fitness arenas including hospital and rehabilitative settings. She has worked with all kinds of clients both men and women, but none have ignited her purpose as much as the female clientele.
Abby is particularly passionate about prenatal and postpartum fitness! Abby's fire for women's fitness has grown over the years and today she has a deep and dedicated passion to women's fitness, especially women with specific fitness needs, such as pregnancy and postpartum, breast-cancer survivors and seniors. Women are in a unique position to lead the health and fitness charge in their families.
Mom becomes the teacher when she makes time for herself and models healthy self-care to her family. The mission of Pea in the Pod Fitness is to empower women to reclaim control of their body, mind, and soul through exercise, to reveal the strength they posses, and to unlock each's women's innate potential to reach her unique wellness goals.

Our goal is to come alongside busy, tired moms and empower them to develop a gentle, sustainable, and realistic exercise routine, one that they can maintain for a lifetime.
We help women to prepare for the physical demands of pregnancy, labor, and delivery, to recover from the strain of pregnancy and delivery, and to feel strong for the sport of motherhood.
3. GET BACK - A Pea in the Pod Fitness program will help the client "get back" to previous fitness levels and activities of daily living following pregnancy, cancer, or de-conditioning, and in the case of pregnancy, to recover abdominal and pelvic floor function.

We service Carmel, North Indianapolis, Nora, Meridian Hills, and Broad Ripple areas.
If you are outside any of these areas, we may be able to accommodate but a mileage fee will be added to each session.
In-Person Personal Training sessions are 45 minutes.
They are highly personalized and their design depends on several key factors including; current fitness level, previous experience with exercise, health history, day to day energy levels, previous prenatal and postnatal complications, and personal goals/needs.

Pea in the Pod Fitness brings all the necessary items to your session.
You do not need to worry about a thing!
If you have small pieces of equipment, such as a ball or free weights, these will be utilized during session.
If needed, Abby will suggest inexpensive items you can add in order that you can workout at home when you are not in session.
