Less than a year before setting out on this adventure, our family moved up from the Twin Cities to central Minnesota because of the beautiful lakes and peaceful surroundings. But soon after, we discovered that if you don't live on the water (perhaps even if you do), and during the long winters, there aren't many places for kids to go for fun, even fewer where those with special needs can play with their peers.
Our son's always had a hard time making friends because of his quirks, so when we learned he was struggling again at his new school, we decided to research interactive gyms and how to own one, not just for our own family but also as a way to give back to the community and improve quality of life for all the wonderful but often similarly challenged families we've met here.
We honestly didn't know anything about We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym but it was one of the first to pop up in our search, and we were really moved by the story of how one mom's love for her son became the answer to our prayers, "a gym for all kids, a place where you never have to say you're sorry."

We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gyms was founded to provide a place for children of all ability levels to play and grow together.
As the only kids gym that offers an inclusive philosophy we have found all children can benefit from our uniquely designed sensory equipment that is specifically designed to aid children with sensory processing disorders.
However, in our experience, all children are able to benefit greatly from this equipment and by allowing children of all ability levels to play together they are able to learn a great deal from each other and become the best motivation for success on every level.

My 4 year old daughter has autism and it was nice to be in a place where I felt comfortable letting her run and play and I didn't have to be too much "on top" Of her making sure she was safe and playing nice!

With open play, children are welcome to come in and enjoy the same activities that are offered during the private sessions and private parties.
This includes full use of the gym with all equipment, and an arts & crafts section that has: beading, painting, lanyards and much more.
No shoes allowed on the gym floor.
Socks are required.
For your convenience, we also have them available to purchase as well as free shoe covers.
Memberships are great for gifts, and for all who love to frequent the gym.

We understand how difficult it is to balance the needs of siblings, spouses, or yourself, so this service is designed with you in mind.
Children without a special needs diagnosis may also use this service.
For children who require constant care and who have behavioral or safety concerns, we've created a more intensive level of support with our One-to-One Attendant Care.
