I'm a Dance Fitness Instructor, Certified Level 2 Nutrition Coach with Precision Nutrition, choreographer, parent, activist, organizer, lawyer, performing artist, lifelong athlete and dance enthusiast. I used to be shy about dancing in public and self-conscious in general. That changed in 2011, after the birth of my third child, when I found Zumba Fitness and set myself free!

I want to share that feeling of freedom with you. The feeling I get when I dance is a euphoria that is hard to express. Class feels like a dance party with friends! After class, I feel healthy from head to toe. In 2012, I became a licensed Zumba Fitness and Zumba Toning instructor. I also taught Zumba Kids at a local elementary school and in summer sessions.

Check out my Zumba Instructor Page HERE. In 2015, I discovered BollyX (the Bollywood Dance Fitness Workout) and became an instructor. Check out my BollyX Instructor Page HERE. I also have been certified for Group Fitness by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), POP Pilates, and Pound!

Are you ready to join the party and let it move you?
That's what Zumba Fitness is all about!
Zumba is Latin-inspired dance fitness with a mix of music and dance moves from Latin America, the US, and around the globe.
When you step on the dance floor, you can expect to hear great, danceable music.
I'll give you non-verbal cues to make it easy to just enjoy the music and follow along.
So come have fun and get fit at the same time!
Zumba Toning is all the fun of Zumba plus toning sticks (1- to 2.5-pound maracas) to help kick up your workout to another level!
A: Just wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes.
The soles of the shoes should be relatively smooth (without much grip) so you can pivot on our sprung wood dance floors.
The studio has a water fountain, but many participants prefer to bring their own water bottles as well as a small towel.
Expect to glisten AND sweat!;
If you are dancing at home, clear a space at least a few feet in all directions and wear shoes if you have a hard floor.
If you need to dance on carpet, you can choose dance barefoot like me for easy pivoting or what footwear works best.
The singer who most inspired me to dance every day as an adult is the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz!
I fell in love with her music in 2005 when I was home with my newborn twins and found myself dancing salsa in the living room with the babies in my arms (usually only one at a time)!
Watch and hear Celia sing "Quimbara" HERE.
Celia Cruz songs we have danced to in class are "La Negra Tiene Tumbao" in toning, "La Vida Es Un Carnaval, " and "Yo Vivire."
Mine is "Taboo" by Don Omar.
I used to request this at every opportunity before I became an instructor.
